Pros
* Wonderful people who believe in team work and doing the right thing * The company believes in autonomy - they give you a problem and it's your responsibility to go solve it * Really interesting problem to solve - how do you recommend a college to a diverse set of high school students? * Great for people starting out their careers. Supportive team and plenty of opportunity. * The Product and Technology teams make use of Agile using Scrum. Iterative development FTW!
Cons
* During my time there it felt as though the company could be more aligned across departments. Greater alignment to clear goals should lead to better results and less surprises when teams are communicating. All the departments should be "rowing in the same direction". * Cappex walks a fine line between altruistic mission and "paying the bills" with distracting ads. Poor or inappropriate ads on a college research site can be demotivating.
