Pros

1) Colleagues. You get to work with people that have very diverse education & work backgrounds, as well as very interesting characteristics. Everyone is very keen on learning from each other and love seeing each other grow their career professionally. If you like the CP work culture, then you will want to come to work every day instead of feeling unmotivated and exhausted. 2) Remote working. If you prefer to work remotely / hybrid, CP is a good place to go. They are very flexible with how you work as long as you are productive and are online the majority of the time when all the other colleagues are online (due to different time zones). If you are based in Sri Lanka or London, there is an office place where you can work with other colleagues a few days a week (it's up to you). You get to save a lot of money on lunches and transportation, and you get a lot more personal time since you don't need to travel to work often. 3) The founders. Our founders Vinay and Niran always take care of our colleagues, they are very patient and give you a lot of room for growth. Both of them are here to help you with your work instead of just telling you what to do, they also consistently show appreciation towards all the work the team do. They are very easy to talk to, and are always available for you if you need them. They are not like the traditional boss that keeps a distance from you. 4) Potential for growth. CP is still a small team so there is much room for growth. You have the opportunity to take on more responsibilities instead of just staying in your day-to-day role, whether it's from within your department or cross-department. There are a lot of promising projects coming in 2023 and you will get the chance to get out of your comfort zone and do something that you won't normally do in other companies (eg: Travel to conferences / our internship locations to meet with employers and candidates).

Cons

1) Remote working It's a pro and also a con. Time management and organisational skills are essential when it comes to remote working at CP because your supervisor or the founders won't micro-manage you. If you prefer to work with close monitoring, then CP won't be a good company for you. Since it's remote working, CP asks everyone to turn on their camera during meetings. If you don't like this then again, CP won't be a good fit for you. 2) Small team. Since CP is not a large team, you might need to take on projects that are not in your JD, or are not part of your day-to-day job activities. The projects won't be forced onto you, and they will most likely match your skillset (eg: Be a supervisor to a CP short-term intern), but if you prefer to do exactly what's on the JD and prefer to not take any extra short-term projects, CP won't be a good fit for you. 3) Adaptability CP is changing and growing very fast, especially since mid-2022, everyone (including the founders) needs to learn and adapt very fast to adapt to this change. If you prefer to work on what you know and stay in a role that doesn't require much change, CP won't be a good fit for you.

Pros

Capital placement is a legit company that was able to help me pivot my career. I was worried if they were real and if they would deliver on the promise of a virtual internship. I am happy to say that they connected me with different companies around the work and I was able to secure a virtual internship in the US that turned into a full time job. I definitely recommend them and would be happy to go through their program again.

Cons

The job placement process was slow and the placement is not guaranteed. You have to interview with different companies and it is up to them to hire you or not. Additionally, the salary for the intern position was not extremely high (think less than $1200) for the month and I was working full time ( 30+ hours) a week. Also I did not receive any benefits as an intern (however this is normal in the US).

Pros

A fast-paced environment where great ideas are valued and talented people are trusted to do their best work. Plenty of opportunities to learn, take ownership, and collaborate with supportive teammates. If you enjoy solving creative challenges and growing professionally, you'll feel right at home.

Cons

The pace can be demanding at times, and priorities may shift quickly. Like any growing company, staying organized and adapting to change is essential to keep up with the workflow.
