Pros

Benefits tend to be competitive. And bonuses tend to be generous. However, due to changes in culture and profitability, these all may likely change in the near future. Also, the quality of people historically has been high, but the loss in morale accompanied with layoffs will likely dramatically impact this in the medium and long term.

Cons

There is not much objectivity in advancement. The ones who move up the ladder are due to relationships and catering to the boss. CG has hired many managers from outside during its growth period, and most do not value the company culture. Even though it is advertised that employees matter, either management deliberately does not promote it without consequence, or they are being told behind closed doors not to promote the culture that it advertises. In the end, employees are now treated only as statistics feeding the bottom line. The handling of the recent layoffs is a perfect testament to that. Never does CG explain why those let go were chosen to be let go, outside of very vague boundaries, and the shrowd of secrecy flies in the face of respecting its employees. CG no longer values, respects, or protects its most valuable assets...its associates.

Pros

The bonuses and CSRP of 15% as well as many benefits are unmatched. I enjoy many of my colleagues and have made life long friends.

Cons

It was a great place to work and many will continue to feel that way until they are affected like those of us in the Norfolk Virginia office. There is no loyalty from the company and people are replaced either by a “vision“ of technology that doesn’t yet even exist within the organization or by cheap labor “offshore“. I thought I would retire from here and now I find myself out of a job after over 20 years before the end of 2027.
