Pros
Unbelievable group of people to work with. Have only had highly professional, respectful and pleasant interactions with associates, regardless of position. Excellent benefits, including full health coverage, a generous retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, matching of charitable donations. There is a great deal of pride with those that work here. The company also values career development. Associates are treated and rewarded based on their contributions--as good a meritocracy that can exist in this industry. Management assesses needs of their teams and I feel acts as advocates to fully support and nurture them. Input is highly encouraged. I cannot think of working anywhere else.
Cons
The few downsides are not specific to the Capital Group, but to large organizations overall. Structure can feel bureacratic, though that may be a necessary evil to a company of our size. While broad changes to the organization is communicated at a high level, some granularity targetted to specific business units will help with transparency and will help remind associates that they are indeed integral parts of this organization. The company has undergone an incredible burst of growth over the last few years. While the Capital Group has managed to retain its highly selective candidate-screening process, there has been some change to the company culture.
