Pros

First and foremost, Capital Group (CG) cares tremendously about its employees! I write this with my own personal experience/background in mind. During my tenure with the company, I was away for over 15 years (activated and serving in the U.S. Army). CG not only held a position for me but welcomed me back with warmth and gratitude. This included exceptional training that helped me acclimate to an ever-changing industry. Since my return, I have worked with senior managers and managers who provide insight and leadership that make me feel true purpose in my job. My peers are some of the sharpest people I have met in terms of subject matter expertise. CG's culture climate leans on treating others with respect, welcoming diverse perspectives, and encouraging input. These aspects, coupled by a mission to provide excellent products and service to our customers, keeps CG at the front of the industry.

Cons

The drive into work. For me, it is 40 miles door to door, using a very busy highway as the primary route. Not always a pleasant drive, but one that I chose to make to maintain employment with CG.

Pros

The bonuses and CSRP of 15% as well as many benefits are unmatched. I enjoy many of my colleagues and have made life long friends.

Cons

It was a great place to work and many will continue to feel that way until they are affected like those of us in the Norfolk Virginia office. There is no loyalty from the company and people are replaced either by a “vision“ of technology that doesn’t yet even exist within the organization or by cheap labor “offshore“. I thought I would retire from here and now I find myself out of a job after over 20 years before the end of 2027.
