Pros

Working at CannDelta has been an incredibly rewarding experience as a Marketing Manager. The company fosters a collaborative and motivating work atmosphere, backed by supportive leadership and a highly knowledgeable, all-hands-on-deck team. There’s a strong culture of ambition and growth that creates a stimulating environment, especially for new employees looking to develop professionally and contribute meaningfully. Like any startup, challenges are naturally part of the journey. However, the team-oriented environment and willingness of everyone to step up and support one another greatly helps lessen the burden. The fast-paced nature of the company pushes you to grow, adapt, and think creatively, making it an exciting place to build your career.

Cons

The fast-paced nature of the company may not align with everyone’s working style or skill set. It’s important to personally reflect on your adaptability, commitment to startup culture, and ability to thrive in an environment where a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to pivot quickly are highly valued.

Pros

This is a small-business advisory firm, so there is exposure to a wide range of projects, which helps experience build quickly compared to a larger, more structured company. Responsibility is given early on, with real ownership over work and deliverables. There is also the opportunity to influence how projects are handled and how fast you grow in the company, if you bring ideas. The standards are high, which can be stressful sometimes but it does help you build strong business skills over time and the team is supportive. It's great working directly with clients. Being a smaller company, I meet with the CEO anytime, which was good. I learned a ton from commercialization to business plans to security. There are good health benefits with massages and social wine down Friday afternoons.

Cons

The pace can be intense. Expectations can be high. This might not suit everyone looking for a slower work environment. That said, the workload reflects the realities of a start-up, lots of opportunities for growth and influence. Professional dress code, which I didn't mind after working alone for two years during COVID.
