- The work provided by CUTRIC is a facade: the majority of the staff is junior straight out of university and has never worked in transit or related fields prior. Hence, there is little to no technical expertise in-house. Read recent reports if you want a proof.
- Expect to work 60+ hours a week, and not get paid your extra hours
- Lots of money is spent in public relations, lobbying, but at the time I was employed there was no employee benefits, no maternity/paternity leave, or insurance.
-Lack of transparency: with members or clients, it was always about making up excuses when unable to deliver.
-Expected to work really hard, and get your credits taken away
- Though I am fully supportive of the "women support women" movement, I have heard several sexist comments that left our male colleagues feeling uncomfortable
To sum up, your mental health will likely take a hit. There are just too many things to do, little to no technical guidance and little recognition.
