Hiring and payment process were all done electronically. Very no-hassle and efficient. I really liked the leadership of the Project Manager from Ricoh, John Thacher. I even received a compliment from my recruiter after she learned that I was advanced to leader on the QC team.

Work period was just too short.

The doc review project continued for a month rather than the advertised two weeks, so we made double what we expected. Those who couldn't work longer than the originally projected two weeks were not penalized. The manager was attentive and transparent about the progress of the project, and astute about promoting diligent workers to the Quality Control team. Also brought donuts and lunch our last week.

Coffee, while freely available, was atrocious. Working space was somewhat cramped. Pay was somewhat low; $20/hour for attorneys and $18/hour for unlicensed law grads. Position was advertised as "overtime work expected" but then we were promptly told we could not under any circumstances work over 40 hours per week. This was not exactly Cambridge's fault, however; more because the client was stingy and wouldn't authorize OT, which is fairly typical for the industry. Finally, the project was expected to start one week but didn't get started until the next week; while this rescheduling didn't affect me, it could have inconvenienced others.
