Pros

ASSA ABLOY Fenestration is a new company formed from the combination of Interlock USA and Caldwell Mfg Co. (I do not believe it is listed on Glassdoor yet) As the company is still in the middle of the integration process, there are more "pros" coming down the line. The details of them aren't 100% clear yet.... which, ultimately is a con. Pros are that they are continually pushing for growth in all areas. Push for efficiency in manufacturing and growth, which would provide potential longer term benefits not yet visible.

Cons

The combination of the 2 smaller companies led to a larger company feel creating the feeling like just a small cog in a much bigger machine. Note that my cons are mainly perception at this time. And when I ask about these perceptions, the answer is, "This is just the way it is." Perception of "Just do the work and don't ask questions..." During this transition phase of integration, it feels as though everything is micromanaged much more than it was when they were individual organizations. It feels as though there is a lack of trust in the employees to do what they know how to do or use their knowledge independently to continue to move things forward. It feels like every decision has to be approved and reported up prior to being made instead of the trust we used to have as employees.
