Pros
Cadac is a relatively easygoing company that lacks the usual lacklustre middle management plaguing companies in the IT sector, making it a very open company. Cadac holds a collection of challenging and intriguing products, which are an immense joy to work on and with.
Cons
The company is falling back into the old ways of working with an emphasis on working in the office, raises that are being outpaced by inflation even on the best yearly performance reviews, Culture seems very reliant on less thinking, and more doing, which doesn't fit in a company that sells groundbreaking software solutions and accompanying services. Even though they've been hiring English-only speakers, the main communication is still in Dutch, making it very inefficient. It is very difficult to progress your career due to the flat organisation structure, majority of junior/medior/senior titles are handed out based on experience rather than other criteria. When everything is going fine, it's an amazing company to work for, but when problems occur, stress and pressure rise to an immeasurable high, leading to often hostile work environments with the excuse of getting things done. The blame game is a too often occurrence. Every sick period, the first two days come out of your PTO days, negatively impacting people who take short bursts off to recover from a virus or bacterial infection instead of taking one or two weeks off at once.
