Pros
Cabela's offered decent pay, and pretty good benefits that included affordable health insurance and a company matched 401k. Almost all the other outfitters were great to work with. Management seemed like they cared a lot and were always willing to help and coach you. They have a pretty decent severance package, more than I expected to be quite honest. The employee discount is also pretty good and it gets better the longer you have been there. I also really liked the deli, good food and very affordable with the employee discount.
Cons
They obliterated their AP department getting rid of all the APS positions to my knowledge in record time I might add. I do love an efficient company, these guys can cut jobs faster than they can sling freight, it was like a game of fruit ninja only with jobs instead of oranges.
