When I first started at CWS, I was new to the property management role. I initially trained at a different property before moving to my assigned location, as the previous management team there had been let go. Once I arrived at my permanent property, I met another leasing agent who had been there for about a year. At first, I was excited to work with her, but over time, it felt like she had a superiority complex. While I understood I was the new agent, her attitude felt more demeaning than supportive.
Eventually, I discovered that she had tried to take credit for one of the leases I had secured by attempting to have it placed under her name. I brought this issue to a manager.
Not long after, I became seriously ill and had to be hospitalized overnight. I informed my manager ahead of time that I was unwell and would be going to the hospital. Unfortunately, my phone died, and the next morning I was physically unable to call in. When I finally reached out the following day, I was told that I had been 'voluntarily' terminated. I was not given the chance to speak with HR or appeal the decision in any way, and this left a bad taste in my mouth,
