Pros
International environment; tax-free salary; jobs can be very stable; work experience of intergovernmental organization gives advantage in applying for other jobs at UN agencies; nice colleagues; less pressure than in similar private sector jobs.
Cons
Old-fashioned and inefficient processes that have been sustainable because of sufficient administration staff; slow-moving; organisational culture could be better, but the nature of the organization (people coming and going from many different cultures of course make it challenging to build a long-term, inspirational culture)
