The company is stable and strong.

It seemed being a large company in a very small town makes it hard for employees that commute in to be treated fairly by other hometown managers/employees sometimes.

The people there are dedicated, hard-working and fun to work with. They truly care about doing good work and the fact that so many of them have been with the company for decades speaks volumes.

At least in some divisions within the company, they are looking too hard at short-term profitability and not focused on their long-term position in the marketplace. They have a strong reputation, but if they don't invest in their future, they will become irrelevant.
