Pros
Working as the Editor in Chief for The CI View has been an incredible experience. It offers the chance to lead a passionate team of writers, broadcasters, and creatives, while also shaping the voice of the campus. I’ve gained hands-on leadership skills, learned how to balance creativity with responsibility, and have had the opportunity to bring new ideas to life. Every day brings new challenges, but it’s rewarding to see the impact we make on the campus community through storytelling. It’s an opportunity to grow personally and professionally, and to truly make a difference.
Cons
While working as the Editor in Chief for The CI View has been rewarding, there are a few challenges. One of the main drawbacks is the 20-hour work limit. With so many tasks on my plate—managing a team, overseeing content, coordinating with other departments, and planning for upcoming issues—it can feel like there's not enough time in the week to get everything done. Balancing schoolwork with the responsibilities of the role can also be overwhelming at times. Despite these challenges, the experience is still incredibly valuable, but it requires strong time management.
