Pros
I have been associated till very recently. I was working here at a senior position. From top to bottom, I have viewed this company and compared it with my previous organizations Pros : 1. Great research topics 2. No sexual harassment - As a female I feel very safe working here. The environment is strict and with no nonsense policy. 3. Floor level interaction is easy. There is low strength of people on both floors. 4. Company's Director is a good leader and a nice person. He is ex-IAS and a hard worker. 5. Company has lot of rapport with ministries and especially the Karnataka state government. 6. Founder is a very famous person, padma vibhushan winner. 7. Company has tried to expand. There is another small office in Delhi for ministerial interactions. 8. Evening snacks were good (previously) :)
Cons
Cons: 1. favorites get promotion, more packages and reward for feet licking. high politics at senior level. 2. I have observed that staff level researchers do not get credit for their work . credit goes to their team leaders usually. It is easy to steal work credit here, as nobody bothers to ask who did what. No recognition of good work or new ideas. 3. Below par support- needs better professionals in HR, need a 'REAL' Project Manager. 4. Lot of ADMINS here (about 7-8 zillions) ! - who do not work, ill speak of research work , harass females and intimidate researchers. You cant really make good leaders where support staff (HR, Admin etc) show superiority over research staff. 4. Decision Making : Need more group decision making , instead of opinionated ones by two or three people. 5. Nobody cares when good people leave! 6. PARADISE - for people who talk and do not know their work, people who lick their bosses all day and who want to abuse their team mates to look like a great leader. 5. One particular female is in the senior management . she is a bad fish. She abuses her team mates, doesn't know anything of her work. she should be sacked. There are at-least two more like that up here in leaders.
