Pros

- As developers, the team was very collaborative and fun to work with. - We were given creative freedom to implement solutions in whatever way we agreed upon. - Learning/research is highly encouraged (and can be done at your own pace). - Certification opportunities were also available and encouraged. - Work/life balance was wonderful. - Management truly cares for your wellbeing, experience working, and happiness. - Paid internship with openness to grow in the company after completion. - Opportunities for further exposure to cybersecurity and DoD.

Cons

- Disorganized in some areas (but this was actively being taken care of so I don't really think that would be an issue moving forward).

Pros

Benefits are comparable to everything else in the area. It is shift work but the schedule comes out about a month in advance and everyone rotates through it. The nice part is you gets compensated once a quarter for all the late night and weekend shifts you work. It's not a crazy amount but better than working overnights in the military for a high five. You get hands on experience with allot of gear you normally wouldn't touch without being a senior tier 3. The team is willing to train you if you ask. If you don't that is your own fault. PM and almost everyone on the contract is great to work with.

Cons

The company gives people too many chances to correct poor performance. Literally watch a person refuse todo work cause he was doing college homework instead of helping out when the network team was slammed. They tried to give them multiple chances to improve after that. Then they left when scheduled to rotate to nights. Tier 3 offer training to anyone who asks... Most don't ask; then complain about not getting enough training. Moral of the story is most of the 1 star reviews seen on here are people who failed to adapt to actually working after getting out of the military.
