Pros
If you're interested in repairing phones, this would probably be a great place for you. I knew nothing about repairs when I got this job and left knowing how to repair iPhones, iPads and some Samsung and LG devices. The guys I worked with were very nice, sometimes.
Cons
-Total lack of benefits. We did not get any sick time, vacation time or any extra pay in any way. Even when we stayed after closing to finish repairing a device for a customer who dropped off their phone last minute, we did not get paid for that extra time. -Boring! The days flew by when we had a lot of devices to work on, but the majority of the days were dead which lead to a lot of standing around pretending to be busy. -Working in a fish tank. We had cameras on us at all times that our boss would remotely access. This led to lots of misunderstandings, since watching footage on your phone is a lot different than actually being there. -Disrespect from the owner. Cursing at your employees and asking personal questions about our relationships is unprofessional. -Playing favorites. We had an employee who for some reason was treated totally differently than everyone else. He came in 30 minutes late without discipline, left for the day whenever he wanted to, was even found stealing parts but was not fired. One time we even had a meeting about a device HE damaged but he was not apart of the meeting. -Our store manager wasn't really a manager, so there was often confusion as to who was supposed to handle certain situations. Lots of "that's not my job" or other people doing tasks for other people who were not supposed to be doing those tasks. -No growth at all. People have been there years and they're doing the same work as a new hire. -As of 2017, I was actually getting paid less than minimum wage. Boss said we would discuss it, we didn't.
