Pros
There are no pros (seriously).
Cons
An extremely dusty and dirty work environment, proper equipment to protect against this is not provided. Health and safety is appalling and virtually non existent (people not qualified to perform certain repairs to things like acid pipes regularly attempting to fix them and getting sprayed in the face with acid to name just one example. This happened more than once, management were aware and did nothing). An extremely cliquey and toxic work environment that pushes outsiders away. Very out of touch management and they only look after themselves. Cost cutting is prioritised over everything else, including people’s safety. Many pipes/other pieces of machinery being held up or sealed with duct tape. Plant is constantly breaking down due to a lack of proper investment and proper repairs not being carried out. Unrealistic expectations are the norm and management can’t fathom why they’re not achieved. Not enough training for new hires. I was left to run the plant on my own after two shifts and received near enough zero formal training. The lack of training is astounding.
