Pros
CP is an extremely specialized broadcast solutions company with high profile clients in the sports and entertainment industry. They own an enormous amount of broadcast gear that is always being reconfigured for new deployments and if you have any geek in you at all, this is the right place - from a technology perspective. Good exposure to a heavy blend of operations and engineering. If you are willing to put the work in, you will get to play with everything. Potential for travel opportunities on high profile remote events as well. Lots of great people working at this company, from shop workers to show techs to engineering, operations and management. Your skill set will grow by working at/for CP Communications.
Cons
-Information is not communicated effectively from top down -Due to the 24/7 nature of the broadcast industry, some hourly employees are basically expected to be on call 24/7/365 (even outside of the regular on call rotation) -Messes are dumped on some of the stronger employees without any accountability for those who contrive the mess (both in shop and field) -Limited growth within the company -Lack of transparency from management (company goals and finances)
