Still, many of the senior management (including some CxOs) are still very-very-very old school with real issues on diversity and granting quality of life to their reportees. In my experience, there are vacations that are part of the package, but most of the time, you are expected to be available regardless "just in case, or if there is any issue that definitely only you can resolve". This happens way more in Mexico and LA than in other BUs where labor is more monitored, and quality of life is part of the law. Worst part? When my ex-boss finally decided that he didn't like my management style and had to let me go, I had to sign a pre-dated document where I had to state that I was "quitting". Otherwise, he would not release my compensation package
