Pros

Great benefits, super qualified and competent colleagues (outside of HR), and relatively flexible work-life balance (this is changing a lot with stricter poilicies recently).

Cons

In the case of many large non-profits, leadership is completely separated from the folks who are actually doing the work. Decisions related to funding are made by people who have very little insight into what would be most beneficial on the ground. Communication from C-Suite is confusing or nonexistent.
