Pros

Remote work, benefits, work itself

Cons

Contract work for state funded projects, lack of cohesion with CDCF where the org wants their employees to collaborate and be cordial, but we don’t actually work with each other since we’re placed at state health departments

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for the important work you did as part of the CDC Foundation team. We are glad to hear you found value in the remote flexibility, benefits, and the work itself. Many of our positions are funded through time-limited grants and contracts, particularly those based in state and local health departments, and we recognize that this project-based structure can sometimes feel disconnected from the broader CDC Foundation community. Your feedback about cohesion and collaboration is especially helpful. We are continuing to look for ways to better connect staff who are placed within partner agencies, including more intentional communication, engagement opportunities, and resources that help team members feel supported and connected to the Foundation’s mission and culture, no matter where they sit day to day. We truly appreciate your contributions to public health during your time with us and wish you all the best in your continued career.
