The work was utterly boring. I did property duplicate review for 8 hours a day, it was repetitive like you wouldn't believe and did not give me any technical skills. My performance was terrible, because self improvement at a job is nearly impossible when you are bored to the point of depression.
I kept on trying to plan how I was going to progress in the company, but because this job did not teach me anything of value, I didn't see how I was ever going to get out. They told me that if I worked there I would be able to secure a better position at the company, but from what I could tell, everyone that spent a significant amount of time in this job ended up leaving the company. I tried to be friendly with my coworkers, but they had not interest in being friendly. After six months of working there, I knew very little about any of them. Between the boring nature of the job, the lack of workplace rapport, and the inability to see any kind of light at the end of the tunnel, it was a terrible place to work.
