Pros

- A good level of autonomy in the role, with freedom to manage your own accounts and approach to work.
 - Flexible working arrangements, including the ability to work from home, which supports work–life balance.

Cons

- The workplace culture feels performative. There is a lot of talk about being “One CACI” but in reality the environment can feel unsupportive and cliquey, particularly for new starters.
 - Onboarding was extremely poor. There was little structured training, and senior people were often unavailable or unwilling to invest time in helping new employees get up to speed.
 - Commission structures were disorganised. It took over four months for my commission plan to be finalised, and when it was eventually delivered there were multiple errors that required repeated follow-ups to correct with barely an apology.
 - Pay and incentives felt inconsistent. I later discovered colleagues in very similar roles were receiving higher commission percentages and salaries, which created a sense of unfairness and lack of transparency - especially when told during my interview my salary expectation was too high.
 - The role was sold with ambitious promises during the hiring process that ultimately did not materialise in reality.
 - Leadership involvement could be counterproductive at times. Senior leadership, particularly the Chief Commercial Officer, was heavily involved in day-to-day matters in a way that often felt intimidating and overly opinionated, frequently framed as simply “being honest” or “telling it how it is,” but not always constructive. At times feedback or direction appeared to be given without fully understanding the context or reviewing the details of the situation, which could lead to unhelpful commentary and confusion rather than productive guidance. - Decision-making processes are overly complex, with many layers of approval required across different departments. This often slows progress significantly and can make simple tasks feel unnecessarily bureaucratic. With so many stakeholders involved, accountability can become unclear, and issues are often passed between teams rather than owned and resolved efficiently.
