Pros

The company has a ton of potential and the employees are great people.

Cons

The people at the top, making the decisions are the biggest threat to morale. The poor morale is contagious and is running rampant from top to bottom

Pros

New trucks with power cots, new vents, new IV pumps. Mainly only running ALS calls now. New ladder for providers means a few more classes but its a decent pay bump per step. This years health insurance cost is WAY more affordable then other years. I could only afford bronze before and now it's around $20 more per check for the Gold plan.

Cons

Still doing a few BLS calls. But at least they're short calls.

Pros

-Have many locations and available shifts all over the state. -Co-workers are generally nice and easy to work with, including most supervisors. -Most crews have access to newer equipment including power stretcher so not as backbreaking.

Cons

-Upper management is a mess, poor communication and loves to give severe punishment for small mistakes. -Pay is OK for people just entering EMS, but will get put on a loop by management if trying to get a raise or even request time off. -Constantly short staffed due to high turnover rate (reason stated above), remaining crews often had to cover shifts far away and work nonstop, can't have breaks unless specifically requested and will impact pay. -Poor training especially for drivers, then surprised when accidents occur. -Certain equipment like stethoscope and pulse oximeter are of poor quality and difficult to accurately assess vital signs.
