Pros

Some of the best management I've ever worked with as far as call center supervisors go. They really push you to have success. And the team you will work alongside is also awesome. At the start of your time there, you will have to go through licensing for life, health and accident, and property and casualty insurance which looks awesome on a resume once you leave. You will seriously never go hungry and I love the fact that there's a happy hour every day. Some will call it unprofessional, others will make a snide remark about how after taking x amount of calls it's needed. I just think it's an awesome concept, and a game changing perk for employees. They spend a lot of time preparing you for the role you are about to step into.

Cons

Let me start by saying this- the biggest part of the problem was not businessolver l, it was me. Simply put, this was a job in the right industry for me but with environment for me to find my stride. When I was interviewed, they weren't totally clear about the role of the participant services rep. So let me be Very clear- when they say service center they mean call center. And there's a ton of calls all day. And they are often back to back. And these are seldom easy calls. You're also pretty highly monitored on you time management and meeting metrics is really the only way to be successful. If you don't meet them, it's hard to keep moving up and be seen as a valuable asset. Coinciding with what I said about the high call volume, another issue is that there simply isn't enough employees. Because of this, there's a lot of mandatory 10 hour days, which they also don't prepare you for in the interview process. But again, that's my experience. Some people ARE AMAZING at being a phone rep. Some really like it. But if all the things I mentioned above scare you, look elsewhere. If you feel like you can take a high amount of calls on a consistent basis, are ok with getting a decent amount of overtime (hey more pay) and are driven by metrics rather that overwhelmed, there couldn't be a better call center out there for you to work in. So just because my experience was not ideal does not mean that yours will be also. But pay attention to the things I've mentioned, because they do matter. Still, a pretty cool company.
