Pros
One good thing about the job is you're clean going to work and clean going home.
Cons
Work, life, balance is poor especially for a person with a young family. You'll be working 50 % of your weekends and alot of 10 hour shifts varying from morning, middle and night shifts with very little consistency resulting in exhaustion. In some cases you could be working a week of late shifts finishing after mid night then into a single rest day and straight into early shifts starting before 6 am. Your body clock is all over the place to the point you'll feel sick with exhaustion. You'll start on a 7 year pay scale but more than likely will leave after a couple of years as the shifts are mentally to challenging and eventually take its toll. Also dealing with the public can be very challenging as the clientel they carry can be very unpleasant people compared to previous jobs I've worked in. Management are fully aware of how morale is very low and drivers are leaving faster than they are coming in but don't seem to care. The response you'll get from them is everything is within the guidelines. Emphaty is non existent in the job.
