Pros

the work/life balance was pretty decent, they seem keen on making you think that they care about you and want you to be happy.

Cons

Management doesn't follow through on anything. They don't listen to suggestions. They took a great team that cared about what they were doing and had everyone quit in about a year and are now rebuilding (again). Pay was lower than industry standard for everyone working there when I was employed there.

Pros

Learning opportunities. Kind, driven, smart teammates. Variety of projects and experience earned. Good work/life balance. Leadership opportunities. Since it’s a small company, you’re a big fish in a small pond, and you know your work matters.

Cons

Missing a sense of mission; it’s there but not well-articulated. Can be taxing to context switch across multiple knowledge domains over time, but that’s the nature of the agency work. Don’t always get depth of experience (more generalist, lots of breadth). Reactive company strategy.

Pros

If you are fresh out of school and can’t get a job at one of the high paying companies, this is a great place to build up some experience. There is a high variety of technologies and you’ll usually be one of 1-3 on a project, so expect to be doing a bit of everything. People here are great to work with.

Cons

That being said, you’ll certainly end up on multiple projects at the same time which can be stressful. Recently there’ve been many contractors being brought onto projects which has lowered the quality and made things more difficult/tedious to work on. Pay is mediocre compared to work load / stress. Don’t expect to get paid more just because you’ve worked at the company for a while. Senior devs are non-existent, all the devs are either contractors or 1-3 years out of college.
