There is a surprising lack of talent across the company, which makes it difficult to understand how client satisfaction is being maintained. Management is extremely poor, with little to no training or development provided. Mediocrity is consistently praised, particularly within an inner circle, while high performers who carry the real workload and deliver the creative output are overlooked and ultimately pushed out. If you are not part of this inner circle, you will quickly feel isolated. It is frustrating to watch genuinely talented new hires join the company, only to be sidelined or let go in favor of less capable individuals who are favored by leadership. The company panic-hired aggressively and then conducted mass layoffs once leadership realized they could not afford the salaries, largely due to a lack of new client wins. Nearly everyone hired in the past year has since been let go. Overall, job security is extremely poor, and the culture does not reward actual performance or talent. I would strongly advise against joining.

I started in 2023 as an Intern and I was very scared coming in as a recent school leaver, with little experience in the industry. I felt extremely welcome and supported from the first day in the office and learned so much in my time at the company. I was so fortunate to be involved in some truly amazing and innovative projects, which really helped me to learn more about the industry. My experience at Buddy helped me not only to grow my knowledge but also my confidence in myself and my abilities, which is immeasurable! I worked my way up from a school leaver with little experience to a fully fledged member of the team, from an Intern to an Executive. I am so grateful to the Buddy Media team and the lovely colleagues for putting their faith in me in order for me to develop and grow. I couldn’t be where I am today without Buddy!

Honestly… I couldn’t give any! I felt so welcomed into the Buddy family from day one and got to meet some amazing people and work on some GREAT campaigns! Obviously, working for an agency can be challenging at times due to working towards tight deadlines. However, due to working with such a great team, they helped me work through any of these challenges and I felt fully supported.
