archaic - Faculty Bryant University Employee Review

Even though there is a new(ish) President - all things are run by the Board of Directors. There is limited transparency and department operate as silos. This is ironic since Bryant promotes itself as a 'business' school. Decisions are made and then the administration seeks opinions from faculty and staff... They do not function with the principle of change management in mind. If you like to work in a strict hierarchical environment where you have literally no voice then you'd be fine here. Reviewers that say staff and faculty are a close-knit community have blinders on. Even the two colleges Business and Liberal arts don't get along - they compete and it undermines cohesiveness.
