Pros
Fairly open minded and patient, despite what headlines of fund shutdowns may indicate.
Cons
The group as a whole has been run like a 'one-person makes all the decisions show' the past 30 years and it shows. Complete lack of innovation and trying to model themselves half-heartly on the pod shops with little success. New teams brought in are mediocre as the cream goes elsewhere. A strange biz model where each fund is a separate company with its own regulatory license and oversight, combined with the partnership owning a significant stake and bloated group overhead costs being allocated to the underlying fund companies, results in questionable economics. Past several years of returns is proof in the pudding.
