Pros

Can leave work at work Can listen to a lot of music or podcasts

Cons

Monotonous job, micromanagement, lack of stability, does not require a degree, not a lot of room for growth in the company The job itself leads to a lot of free thought time, you are checking numbers all night. Bent over a bucket of dry ice that will cause hand pain. CO2 levels are not monitored in the main working area and leads to headaches and breathing problems for people with lower lung capacity. Management goes so far as to have individuals track their restroom time. There are kindergarten-esque mats for tools used Safety gear is present but not sufficient for the job done. The company boasts growth but it is unlikely that individuals not favored by management will see any They recently fired all new hires to make room for the third shift they dismantled. People who were there a month or a week were let go. No job stability. Impossible standards constantly made more and more difficult put on employees.

Pros

Brooks operates in a genuinely interesting sector with strong technical capabilities and some highly capable people. There are teams doing good work, and the company has real potential with the right CEO.

Cons

However, the overall experience is shaped by ongoing layoffs and a consistently volatile environment. Frequent restructuring and shifting priorities make it difficult to build momentum or see initiatives through to completion. There is a constant sense of change without enough stability to support it. This creates uncertainty for employees and impacts morale, engagement, and long-term focus. It is challenging to operate effectively when the direction can shift quickly, and role security feels unclear. In summary, an interesting company in an important industry, but one where greater stability and clearer direction would significantly improve the employee experience.
