Pros

Employees I worked with really tried to make the best of things and worked hard for the benefit of the students.

Cons

The Executive team only hire people they previously worked with at past jobs- making it a big group of "friends" instead of colleagues. They all walk the halls with their head high and dont look you in the eyes when you speak to them. Approximately 52 smoke breaks a day. Board members expect unrealistic numbers through all departments. Brookline is fortunate to have those handful of employees who work hard every day to make a difference in the lives of their students. The school has a terrible reputation. Read up on their reviews. If you really want to work here- dont. I suggest you find a place that believes in working as a TEAM and hasn't gone through more then 3 names since its been opened.

Pros

Hybrid schedule is great I felt more productive at home.

Cons

There is a noticeable disconnect between leadership’s message about culture and the day-to-day experience of employees. While managers often speak about building a strong, supportive environment, the reality can feel highly micromanaged and overly critical. Instead of feeling empowered, employees often feel scrutinized and reduced to metrics. The focus is consistently placed on enrollment numbers rather than meaningful student relationships. Although the messaging emphasizes that it’s “about the students,” the pressure to enroll quickly — regardless of long-term fit — suggests that numbers ultimately take priority. Opportunities to genuinely connect with students or check in on their well-being are often discouraged if they don’t directly contribute to immediate enrollment outcomes. Additionally, expectations such as making 100+ calls daily, combined with limited lead flow and minimal marketing support, create a high-pressure environment that prioritizes quantity over quality. This approach can make it difficult to build authentic connections or feel aligned with the mission being communicated
