Pros

- Autonomy - Summer hours - Casual Fridays - Complimentary coffee and soft drinks.

Cons

- Onboarding was almost non-existent (Here's your desk, now figure out the rest). - Tone-deaf and top-down corporate culture derived from those in a boardroom earning the 7-figure salary. Stuffy corporate culture. (Listen to me or get out). - Overall quality of employees are below average at what I would find in the handful of leading property owner/managed companies ($>50B AUM). - Below average compensation with archaic non-competitive benefits for a company of this size (DCPP matching only after 1st year of service, a choice of either HCSA or Wellness but not both). - Weak senior leadership (No welcome, no gratitude, no communication or direction from senior management). - Weak culture (nothing in the intranet that promotes stories of its assets or its people or reinforcing the vision/mission to make you feel like you're part of a bigger team). - Working from home is looked down with no support (no additional equipment aside the laptop). Worked in the office throughout the pandemic.

Pros

Benefits are good and the 401k is 100% vested at the start.

Cons

My experience as a former employee felt like a bait-and-switch. The role was presented one way during the hiring process, but after starting, the expectations and responsibilities changed significantly. Initially, the position aligned with what had been discussed. However, additional responsibilities were later added that felt outside the original scope of the role. When concerns were raised about workload, staffing issues, and long-term growth, the situation was not meaningfully corrected. The workload became difficult to sustain, including extended hours and time worked outside of normal business days. It was especially concerning to later be told that the expanded responsibilities had supposedly been the plan all along, even though that was not clearly communicated during the interview or offer process. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering employment here get all important details in writing before accepting, including responsibilities, reporting structure, workload expectations, compensation, and whether the role may change after hire.
