Pros
Mission-Driven Culture: It is incredibly rewarding to work for a company that truly prioritizes mental health access. Every day, our team is empowered to remove barriers to care, ensuring members receive their life-changing medications without unnecessary delays. Exceptional Remote Work-Life: Brightside has mastered the remote work model. Despite being distributed across the country, the communication tools and workflows in place make me feel connected and supported. There is a genuine respect for work-life balance that is rare in high-growth healthcare tech. A "Best-in-Class" Team: I am constantly impressed by the caliber of people I work with. From the clinicians to my fellow support leads, everyone is collaborative, highly skilled, and deeply empathetic. It’s an environment where you are encouraged to share ideas and "deep dive" into problems to find the best solutions for our members. Leadership and Transparency: There is a clear sense of direction from leadership. As a Supervisor, I feel trusted to manage my department and advocate for both my team and our members. The transparency regarding company goals and changes makes me feel like a valued stakeholder in our success.
Cons
The Nature of the Work Fast-Paced Complexity: Because we are a leader in the space, the pace is rapid. Navigating the intersection of pharmacy regulations, insurance PAs, and state-specific licensure requires a high level of focus and constant learning. It isn't a "slow" job, but the challenge is part of what makes it engaging. Navigating External Barriers: At times, it can be frustrating to deal with external pharmacy or insurance delays that are out of our direct control, but the team's commitment to "bridge the gap" for members makes those hurdles manageable.
