Pros

Bridgepoint's parent company is Addison Group, and large recruiting and staffing firm out of Chicago. Having worked for a larger recruiting and staffing firm in the past I was initially hesitant to work here. This is COMPLETELY different. The people here care about you and you are more than just the numbers you post. The give you the tools that you need to succeed, and they say what they mean. If you are struggling at something, they work with you to get better. Like it or not, you are going to grow as a person and as a professional. You're going to read and you're going to learn the "craft" of being a business development professional. They are also huge on growth and promoting from within. Opportunities are plentiful.

Cons

The firm is in early growth mode. Therefore, you have to get creative on how you go to market. Also, the firm is primarily led by former accountants, that don't think the way that most business development professionals do. Therefore, you may have to explain your thought process and justify your approach. That can be a good thing, but it can also be time consuming if all you know is hitting the market and hitting it hard.

Pros

A company with an entrepreneurial spirit. Open door to management. Great flexibility, work / life balance, and a ton of great people to learn from. It allows you to grow both personally & professionally.

Cons

Hard to hit too many here, but it's a smaller company, and not alot of attrition in the management roles, so without more growth, opportunities to get into management are less frequent than at a larger company.
