Not stable projects, full politics, no growth for AI people - Senior Data Scientist (Gen AI) Bridgenext Employee Review

Pros

Some good technical people to learn from

Cons

- *Project instability*: No long-term AI work. All GenAI/AI projects are short-term POCs that get shelved after 3-4 months. No product roadmap. - *Politics > Performance*: Full of groupism. Only a specific group of people get promotions, hikes and benefits. If you’re not part of that group, growth is zero. - *Leadership issue*: VP and senior management don’t listen to juniors or ICs. Feedback goes in one ear and out the other. - *No scope for AI*: Company claims to do AI but has no real AI strategy. Engineers are put on support/bench as soon as project ends. - *Layoffs & bench*: People are frequently laid off or put on bench without warning. Even if you’re performing well, you can get fired because of biased decisions taken by a small group. - *Growth*: Promotions are not merit-based. Only favorites move up. *Advice to Management:* Stop treating AI as a marketing buzzword. Invest in long-term AI products instead of 2-month client POCs. Make promotions transparent and listen to technical talent. Right now good AI engineers are leaving because there is no stability or career path. I do not recommend this company to AI/ML professionals*

Pros

Decent pay, good people, and remote company.

Cons

Layoffs about every 3 months. Leadership doesn’t disclose. You’ll be looking to reach out to someone about a project and find out they’re not even there anymore. Leadership and management provide little to no training/information yet expect you to perform as if you did. It’s actually very strange. Promotions only given to offshore team members. No culture - the culture is getting the company more money. Poor change management process, yet lots of changes.
