Pros
- Usually pretty easy, pressures are rarely placed by management and if are not enforced - Lax place to work with often very cool projects happening around you - Pre-covid Tech Lunch + Pizza weekly - Really hard to get fired even if you are caught sexually harassing fellow employees/interns - Intern program looked cool and paid $20+ an hr - if you can stand-up for yourself or work extremely hard management will love you and you will have a lot of positive attention
Cons
- No career path - Will not listen to you unless you threaten to leave - "Nice things" only happen around the New Year like new hardware since CEO doesn't know his own budgets - Everything goes through the CEO still - Managers literally had a fist fight.... - No Sales infrastructure - if your not a Dev don't even apply unless you only need a job for a year - Really hard for underperforming team members to be let go, forcing their burden of work into other team members - Top talent need to make their own oppurtunites at the job or just accept they will not grow in capabilities - No post mortems, projects starting with a lead assigned, and most projects (not the breadwinners) never leave the MVP stage - CEO will actively lie in the interview process about where talent used to work and clients, both upcoming and current - The company was on the downterm as top talent started leaving in 2018 and 2020 cut the staff to a 3rd from layoffs, furloughs, and staff leaving - No company culture especially during Covid
