Pros

I find that in my role I get to meet new people all the time and gain knowledge into different teams which consequently aids my role and creates a smoother transition for former and new clients. I feel as though the company is a tight knit firm, everyone helps everyone and progression is encouraged and supported fully. In the short time I have worked at Brethertons I have found some truly amazing people and love what I do. Roles become available quite a number of times throughout the working year and the push to progress internally is welcomed with open arms.

Cons

Although majority of the time I love my job, due to the nature of my role which covers reception it is sometimes hard to get our whole team in one place for team catchups due to being spread over multiple offices which sometimes means our team only communicates via call but we all stay connected one way or another. Also it can be a stressful environment to work in (as can any job) but it also is very rewarding and fulfilling when you help a new enquiry and eventually see the client leave after the case is dealt with - full circle type of thing!

Pros

Staff are generally open, there is no micromanagement so long as work gets done. Annual Development Appraisals are carried out to find out one's aspirations and there seems to be genuine effort to help people progress. The firm can pay for courses / training, but it is dependant on a case-by-case basis.

Cons

The pay is on the lower end, though it is expected as the position is considered entry level and does not usually require a law degree (though it's advantageous).
