Pros

Brave Thinking will good on your resume, but that's the only benefit you'll receive if you decide to work here...

Cons

My experience so far has been incredibly disappointing. None of what management promised me was ever delivered. The salary I got was a lot lower than what I expected. I've had to perform tasks outside of my job description, and I haven't been given any opportunities to advance.

Response from Brave Thinking Institute Thank you for sharing your feedback. We recognize that when expectations and experiences don’t align, it can be frustrating. At Brave Thinking Institute, we work to be clear about role responsibilities, compensation, and expectations from the start of employment. Each team member receives a detailed written agreement outlining their position and compensation so there is a shared understanding from the outset. Opportunities for growth and advancement generally develop over time and are influenced by performance, contribution, time in role, and the overall success of the company. We recognize that individual experiences and expectations can sometimes differ. We appreciate the contributions of those who have been part of our team and wish you continued success in your future endeavors.

Pros

Peers and management deeply care about individuals and the impact you want to make on the world. I received nothing but love and encouragement throughout the entirety of my time serving at BTI. I was always able to take off when needed for personal things (family, trips, mental health, etc) and my compensation was great! The culture requires a growth mindset with an open heart and it’s wonderful if that’s the right fit for you. I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for working here and leaving (for reasons not relevant to this review) was a difficult decision due to how amazing my experience was.

Cons

Lots of softwares / tech stack could be more consolidated, (people who aren’t tech savvy could struggle a bit) BUT the admin team are extremely responsive and helpful.

Our team pours their heart into creating an environment where people feel loved, supported, and inspired to grow, and hearing that your experience reflected that is deeply gratifying. We appreciate your honest feedback on our tech stack as well — it's something we are actively working to improve, and input like yours helps guide us in the right direction. We are so grateful for the time you spent with us and the contributions you made. We wish you all the very best moving forward!

Pros

Some coworkers are friendly, and that helps make the day a bit easier.

Cons

The experience is horrible overall. No professionalism at this company. They seem progressive by hiring a lot of young people, but the work environment is very toxic. Time off is very limited, and benefits are poor, it's hard to rest or plan time away. Meetings include unnecessary and uncomfortable activities. Managers and upper management show favoritism, especially toward certain people, which creates unfair treatment. The way they make decisions on employee matters is so biased. Many processes feel outdated, and there is little effort to improve them. Your manager will only reach out when you're under-performing. Employees do not want to speak up about anything not working well as management will not take any constructive feedback well. Also, if you do not fit in, be ready to get fired. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.
