Pros

If you're looking for a job here, I would highly recommend reading through this. The bottom line is that if you're an intern, I would HIGHLY recommend working here to get experience. If you're looking for a full time role, I would recommend you do not apply here. Here's my reasoning: - company size: this is a *very* small company. Besides the interns, there are ~5 other full- part time employees TOTAL, including management. Decide if that's what you're looking for. -workload: The work culture is a little intense: expect to juggle 4+ clients at a time, plus internal projects, but its doable - resources: During my time here, there were minimal resources available to learn the processes/document structures for projects. You just learn from teammates and reuse old documents as templates. You will need to feel comfortable collaborating with teammates to do your role. - management: Management is...not ordinary. Full disclosure, manager #1 is mildly racist, sexist (despite being a woman), and very outspoken. Expect to hear racial stereotypes regularly. Manager #2 likes to boss the interns around and is on a bit of a power trip. Manager #2 critiques slightly imperfect employee behavior (coming in 5 min late, packing up 5 min early, listening to music while working, etc.) under the guise of humor. Depending on your capabilities, you may be given more work than you can handle, just to see if you can handle it. Don't expect to be thanked at any point in this process, whether you are a paid employee or unpaid. Professionalism is thrown out the window, so normal expected behavior with clients is not what you'd expect at other companies. Management can be rude to clients, and it's perceived as normal. Some examples: harshly critiquing the resumes of applicants within earshot of employees, "getting back" at a client, and interrupting meetings, but that's just a select few. Culture: Food is brought in regularly, coffee always available, chatting is common, and there are events depending on when your internship is. Skills: You do learn here, and fast. You'll be able to walk away with quite a lot of skills in finance or technology, problem solving, the consulting process, and client engagement. Hence, as an intern, dealing with the wacky management is completely doable, and even humorous. In the end, it'll be worth it, because you will get more hands on experience here than most other places, even if it's difficult. Full time employees may lose their mind after more than a few months here. For full time roles, you're not looking for skill acquisition, you're looking for good managers, flexibility, and upward mobility, and there is none of that here.

Pros

I have been with BraunWeiss from the earlier days and I have seen it shape up into a mature organization. Organization is committed to stand out from the crowd by providing excellent learning and growth potential for the employees. They genuinely want their employees to grow and live up to their full potential and explore their interests. For example; I started to work in the Operations side but wanted to get exposed to HR and I was given the opportunity to explore and learn that side of the business. This opportunity is given to each and every employee and I think it is very uncommon. This is a company where employees have a voice, they can speak their mind and contribute to all projects. Management really listens and it is wonderful to see your ideas being utilized. Environment is relaxed and fun and flexible. They are very supportive for personal/family obligations and wiling to accommodate your needs. I was skeptical working for a small company but was impressed how professionally BraunWeiss is managed. Their operations run as a large matrix organization. Company is financially secure (that was my concern working for a small organization) and their Finance operations run like clockwork. BraunWeiss is a small but mighty organization that gives you a global experience while working with a local team.

Cons

Conservative hiring practices makes it hard for HR to find the best candidates.
