Pros

Management isn't concerned as much about educational background, they care most about personality and fit for job.

Cons

They advertised this job as "indoor and outdoor events" but they really just mean you're standing on street corners soliciting people into donating to charity. You're getting to the office at 8:30am, practicing the pitch and standing in a morning meeting. by 10:30 you're out in the street and you stay until 5:30. Then back to the office around 6 or later debriefing. At best, you're done at 6:30. They also have everyone work Saturdays. Absolutely ridiculous. There is ZERO work life balance and overall just feels fishy and slimy. Didn't enjoy anything about this. Looking back, the interview process was so odd, nothing was in writing, and I'm pretty sure they don't actually have an HR department. If you get roped into this just run.

Pros

This job is good if you have no experience or have been in the work force for 5+ years and had a setback in your career path and need a bridge-job before your next opportunity. But even that is a waste of time if you have any useful skills that could be applied somewhere else. Work here if you have no better options but keep looking for other opportunities bc it's a burnout.

Cons

They lied about expectations. They hid the fact that it's a 3 week pay schedule. Also, they tell you it's base pay plus commission but really it's all commission. They don't have an HR department... They encourage you to dress professionally even though you're just a glorified pan-handler. You'll be on the street soliciting random people for money like beggars do, but at least you'll have a fancy script and look professional doing it. This is work I wasn't proud of tbh. The culture is strange. I can't tell if I've ever had a genuine encounter with anyone there who wasn't already indoctrinated. Their website is all stock images of happy workers and truth stretching. On the surface it looks like an okay opportunity but it's not. This job works for people who are: naive and willing to do what it takes have no other options/skills and are willing to do what it takes just straight up psycho don't work here if you have any dignity for yourself.
