Pros
Best training and philosophy (whole child style: emotional, physical, social aspects woven into lessons) of any SES tutoring company I've worked for thus far (two previous).
Founders seem to genuinely care about improving the lives of students and young people; founder mentions story of when she was a teacher, saw student drawing a graveyard. One of the tombstones said "in memory of those who died waiting for the bell" and from that point onward she decided to change her teaching techniques and really try to touch students (figuratively)
Tutors are given well packed "kits" full of teaching supplies
Opportunity to become "Captain" and make $30/hr
Cons
I wasn't given work until about two months after I was hired and was not given an estimated time until work would begin--kept hoping I would get word the next day.
They hire without interviewing you; they simply view your resume and take you on board, which seemed really sketchy at first.
