For all this hard work, they do not show much love back. When it comes to "manager retreats", they're just meetings about new initiatives, training seminars, etc - not an actual retreat that promotes fun, relaxation, team building. For the first time, they're allowing an overnight stay this year at the venue, but the catch is that you have to bunk with a coworker. When questioned about sharing rooms or the lack of fun quarterly activities, the response is always that "ownership doesn't want to pay" for us to have fun outings or have a room to ourselves as adults. The company doesn't mind asking for you to work the hardest, but won't stand up to ownership when it comes to giving a little back.
