Pros

I have been with BTS for 6 years and it is the best company I have ever worked for. The managers took the time to learn about what was important to me so that I had a work experience that fit my skill set and my priorities. I appreciate that there is always someone in the home office that is available to answer any questions or provide me the materials I need. My manager is always available to jump on a Zoom call, phone call or answer a text message. As an SLP, I have often worked in isolation, it is amazing to always have another SLP to brainstorm with or to run through a difficult situation.

Cons

Pros

Working as an SLA here has been amazing, mostly because of the double-layer support system. You aren’t just thrown into the deep end. You get clinical supervision from SLPs who really know their stuff, plus a service provider who handles all the company-side logistics for you. They are huge on growing your career, too. If you want to go back to school to further your education, they’re incredibly supportive and help you make it happen. The best part is definitely the culture. It truly feels like a Boothby Family. Since we're spread out, they put on local social events to bring everyone together so you actually get to know the people in your area. On top of the great vibes, the pay is super competitive compared to other schools and companies nearby. There is also total flexibility since they have contracts all over New Hampshire, it’s easy to stay with the company even if you need to move to a different part of the state.

Cons

One thing to be aware of is that you aren't paid year-round. While there is an option to pick up some summer hours, it’s usually just a couple of hours a week for a few weeks, so it doesn't cover the full break. I really wish they offered a true year-round pay option. Right now, they have a "banked time" system, but it's basically just a small chunk of money you set aside from your own checks during the school year to be paid out at the end. I’d love to see them simplify this by offering the choice to stretch your total salary out over a full 52-week pay period instead.
