Pros

- good health benefits and decent 401k - learn a lot about adobe software- especially illustrator - good team of designers - you get your own personal adobe account - OT during busy season -Flex-ish hours. As long as you clock in for your full 8hrs. - you can tell art management does care about their employees on some level, but CEO certainly gives them no freedom to reward employees and create good culture. - decent stepping stone for a design job, but no career path for creatives

Cons

- Management lied during my interview about how creative my position would be and how I would have so much design freedom... in reality, I did the same task over and over. The only “creative” aspect is that I used adobe software. - When a mistake is made, management will do everything they can to place all the blame on one person- even though multiple people may have been involved (even small mistakes). This creates an “every man for themselves” environment. - No room for growth and no incentive to work hard - company does not keep their employees informed about anything (policy changes, quarterly earnings, plans for future, etc) - No vacation days for an entire year, then after 1 year you only get FIVE DAYS - CEO makes chaotic decisions on a whim and will flip 180 after valuable company time and resources have been spent - a lot of favoritism - company makes it obvious their employees are expendable - office is in a rural location- surrounded by cornfields. Not a lot of options for lunch and very rushed since restaurants are a decent drive away
