Good for a part time job - Team Member Bon Me Employee Review

If you are currently in school or only looking for a job for supplementary income, Bon Me is the place for you. As a crew member, you get a decent hourly rate and low- med level of responsibilities. The work environment can be fun sometimes, or it can be stressful. Just like all the food service job out there.

I was a manager there for a few years. They didn’t pay any managers or directors a market rate. I believe it was at least 25-30% below. Expectations can be high coming from upper management and your staff. Like other reviews mentioned below, work life balance is very poor if you are a manager. You would get messages on your time off / day off if your employees call out, or restaurant equipment is out of service. Then you are expected to come in or deal with broke equipment. Not only you are a people manager, you are double as a handy man as well. In terms of career development, they do expect you to train your hourly employees to their top standards. While that was an opportunity for us as manager to grow, upper management and founders did not provide much training/development for us. I hope that has changed since then. I have a feeling this can definitely lead to severe burnt out and unmotivated managers.
