Pros
Not much anymore, tbh. New hires are great energy, enthusiastic, and full of life. Unfortunately, they either get laid off a hero, or stay hired long enough to become the villain.
Cons
Layoffs basically every year. Burnout. Ineffective feedback. Management is extremely non-confrontational, to a pathetic extent. Managers will let you believe you're doing fine, then cite "incident X" that happened 7 months ago as the reason for your separation, despite you asking for actionable feedback every single performance review. They'll make you sign a non-disparagement clause (not signed, btw, because I don't want this company's money and they don't deserve my silence) so you can serve to be a cog in their machine of non-transparency/dishonesty. This is no longer a company where you can get your career started under reliable mentors; this is just a "boys club" of upper management and their favorite direct reports
