Pros

Offers up to $4000/year Professional Development Program (PDP), It covers a huge range of things including industry specific training courses, certificates fees, leadership and business skills training, applicable membership dues, and continuous education requirements. BI&A has a dedicated focus on employees and keeping talented people. Huge emphasis on supporting teammates. Fantastic leadership. I am a remote employee working in Colorado, and the corporate headquarters is in Maryland. In spite of this, I have still had the opportunity to meet the CEO, Roxanne Wood, and COO Steve Cogdell, multiple times. This is the first company I have worked for where C-Suite leaders make an effort to meet and talk to all of their team members.

Cons

Pay is somewhat lower that industry norm.

Pros

A few genuinely kind and supportive people throughout the organization. Exposure to large-scale programs and complex work environments.

Cons

The culture was one of the most challenging aspects of the experience. The environment often felt unsupportive, with many employees appearing disengaged, unhappy, or more focused on criticism than collaboration. Constructive support and mentorship were lacking, and there was a noticeable tendency for issues to be normalized rather than addressed. Leadership seemed aware of morale and culture concerns, but there was little meaningful action taken to improve the environment or retain strong employees. Over time, this appeared to contribute to good people leaving the organization.
